Refund Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Refund Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to all purchases made from Richard Williams Photography

By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms in addition to our Privacy Policy and General Terms & Conditions of Sale.


2. Nature of Our Products

Our products feature original artwork and/or photographic images created by Richard Williams
Many of our items are made to order, custom-printed, or produced specifically for each customer.

Because of this, refunds and returns are limited, as outlined below.


3. Refund Eligibility

We will issue refunds or replacements only in the following circumstances:

  • The item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect.

  • The product differs significantly from its description or preview.

  • The item is lost in transit and confirmed undelivered by the courier.

To be eligible for a refund, you must contact us within 14 days of receiving your order and provide:

  • Proof of purchase, and

  • Photographs of the issue (e.g., damage, print error, or incorrect item).

Once approved, we will issue a refund or replacement at our discretion.


4. Non-Refundable Products

Due to the nature of custom and image-based products, we cannot offer refunds or exchanges for:

  • Change of mind or personal preference

  • Colour or tone variations between screen previews and printed products

  • Items that have been used, worn, or damaged after delivery

  • Personalised or commissioned artwork once production has started

These exclusions are in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, which permit exceptions for custom-made or personalised goods.


5. Return Process

If a return is approved:

  1. We will provide a return shipping address.

  2. You must send the product back within 14 days of approval, in its original condition and packaging.

  3. Once we receive and inspect the item, we’ll confirm your refund or replacement.

Return shipping costs are covered by the customer unless the item was faulty or incorrect.


6. Processing Refunds

Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 5–10 working days after approval.
Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.


7. Intellectual Property Notice

All images, artworks, and designs sold un remain the intellectual property of Richard Williams

Purchasing a product does not grant any rights to reproduce, copy, distribute, or otherwise use the images for commercial or personal projects beyond the purchased item.

Any unauthorised reproduction or commercial use may result in legal action under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (UK).
